9th. IMO, or anywhere as long as he's ahead of his team-mate.

sounds about right.

So behind 2 McLarens, 2 Ferraris, 2 Renaults (though they aren't looking so good) and the Red Rull Renaults (who are looking surprisingly good)?

And just in front of the BMWs, Toyotas and Hondas?

Can't agrue that 9th is repectable but Toro Rossa hasn't shown much

Has anyone asked Seabass how managing an F1 car without traction control compares to a Champ Car? I was wondering if his skill at wrangling the turbo charged DP-01 would help him keep the pointy end going forward.

Can't wait for the first punchup. ;)
Hobbs: Blamo! Paul Tracy taught him that move. Don't think Webbah expected THAT, Bob.

That is a real mish-mash of a results list. It is going to be an interesting race, I haven't seen that many cars off track in a dry session in years.

Ahead of his teammate. If he can get into the final qualifying session that would be good too.

It's going to be an interesting season. No TC and a common ECU will show us a lot of slip, slide, man handling, etc.

I thought SB might have an advantage driving so long without those driver aids, but it may not really show until next year when the rules put more emphasis on mechanical grip than aero.

I don't doubt that, but the question was not what the reasonable expectation is. Torro Rosso is arguably the 5th-8th best team of 11 in F1, in front of Super Aguri, and Force India, most likely in competition with Williams, Toyota and Honda.

So maybe 9th is a tad high... how about 11th?

I guess I was answering the question in terms of 'embarrassment', at least from an O/W hater point of view "how can a 4 time champion be 11th?" etc.

Seabass' driving makes me sad. :(

I liked Hamilton handing out the "atta boys" to Bob Kubica and Kovalainen at the beginning of the press conference. Sounded a little smarmy coming from the pole winner. "I don't care what anyone says, these guys are all right."

All I wanted to know was if Kubica lifted during that off, but Mrs. Hamilton missed the opportunity. :irked:

Not a good showing for Bourdais. Pretty sad actually. But he looked good doing it with the big power slides and all... Not the fast way around of course.

Vettel is going to be very tough to reckon with for a lot more people than just Bourdais. Alonso is three grid spots after of him as well. With drives like that BMW may put pressure on Heidfeld to hang up his helmut sooner rather than later.

Kubica gets the award for chances taken. Quite an eventful lap.

Overall it seems like getting rid of TC is going to really spice things up.

Hamilton's alright. It's his fanboys in the booth and online that are annoying. ;) :limeygohome:

I take back what I said about him being smarmy and phony. I think the praise for his fellow drivers in the post race interview was genuine. That man hug for Nico Rosberg convinced me he was happy & excited for both of them. After years of mopes, robots, and zombies in the interview room I guess I couldn't recognize a real person when I saw one. [/oprah]

edit: Seabass' driving makes me smile. :)
