So you go to Seattle to pick up the new 777-300er and you bring along 3 score of company executives for the ride home. After takeoff you have this great idea and without telling anyone on board you do this:

Oddly enough he is no longer employed.
He did have tower clearance, just not corporate clearance.

Not sure either unless it's a Top Gun fly-by. Where did I put my coffee??

Cathay Pacific pilot was allegedly fired during its deilvery fly-away after returning to Paine Field shortly after takeoff and performing a very low, gear-up flyby for the spectators at the delivery party.
THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL VIDEO THAT POSTED TO YOUTUBE. That video was pulled. This is just a different version of the same event to show what transpired.
This video was made from single frames taken with a DSLR, sorry for the crude framerate.

"Thats a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full!"
That's all it takes to scare a CEO? weak.
I thought the video was gonna show a barrel roll, or a near vertical climb. Give the guy a break.
At least the engine fan blades weren't bungee-corded together, and the gas tank wasn't on fire. ;)

Thanks Racermike. TravelGuy just LOVES that scene.
Cathay Pacific, until the handover, was run by the British. Still may be for all I know. Please don't lump them with the usual Chinese safety or any other record.
I imagine that pilot was simply missing the good old days of landing at Kai Tak Airport. If you have somehow missed those images, just google it.
He was fired because he's dangerous.
