That's it. Thanks Guys & Gals. Know that you were part of something special, and we all thank you for that. Evidently Gerra & KK ponied up nice severance pkgs.

So they're on their own to obtain jobs with another series if they want to stay in the autoracing biz. Noone is being integrated over to the IRL?

That sucks.

Best of luck to all. It's one thing to miss a turbo, or a natural road course, it's completely something else when humans are affected.

Oh, btw spicoli, your inbox is full.

I am not sure. All I know is they let everyone go in a 2pm meeting.

So this would put an end to the idea of the LB/Motegi double header.

What good does it do to say "no deal" and then throw away your leverage.

I think Tony let it slip; they want to maximize the effect of the press conference, instead of the press letting the air out of Tony’s victory speech. Things were probably settled at dinner last night but I’m assuming KK wanted to let the CC employee know before they heard it at a press conference. I suspect the ‘press conference’ will be at the IRL spring training as suggested.

How would that effect their obligations to Long Beach?

I'm not sure Richard. You have to think that its for a specific reason.

It's finally over. Time to go to the pub. :(

What leverage? My guess is that Tony's requirements were too restrictive for GF--just a hunch.

Feb. 22: A deal is at hand
Curt's note: It's 3:55 p.m. and Kevin Kalkhoven just told me an announcement about a deal is imminent. Like minutes away. Kalkhoven said they don't everything completely done, but it's apparently close enough to move forward with an announcement.

Well I'm still hoping to go to Road America in August - if the campaign doesn't get in the way.

Even Trevor doesn't give a crap anymore. All he is looking forward to is Lime Rock and ALMS. All new for him. I promised I would make it happen. Trying to work Sebring but money/schedule is tight.

I meant to ask the other day what he thought of this crap since he's less jaded than the rest of us. :(
