I am glad to see sponsorship on CCWS cars but I really don't like the livery at all.:(

They could definitely do a much better scheme.

What clown came up with that?

Oh. Nevermind...

Not really different than it was last year, no?

Still not good. Needs more white and less red and the "M" has so much potential as a graphic element and they just slap it there.

Looks like Forsythe bought a new tub as this one is unpainted

Perhaps it isn't the final design and will be different at LB.

After last season wouldn't you?

Yeah, you would not want to build on any brand identity :gomer:

There may yet be a job for you guys in the Champcar front office, as this is about THE ONLY thing that has not changed in the past couple of years. IMO the paintjob is not that bad, as it does look good from the topside as the giant "M" kind of remind one of McDonalds hamburger chains :tony:

The one "sponsor" and a thread talking about an over simple paintjob, where the colors of the company are red and yellow. Would it look better with Ronald McDonald graphics ala Marty Roth Racing (sic)

to quote an old phrase

"You guys would bitch if you were hung with a new rope"

It was ugly last year and it is still ugly this year. This is a McDonalds livery done far better.

Solid red hides the shape of the car.

Its boring, but the arches should be very visible to TV cameras when shooting from above. For the three of us that will be watching.

That is the problem. They don't race on ovals anymore and the new logo isn't particularly visible in the current low angle tv coverage.

Why is that necessary if they can't make aero modifications?

A throwback to the old Kanaan/Forsythe livery would be better, IMO.

But hey, it's two cars with real sponsors.

That car was way better, but still could have used a little white and a little refinement.

BTW my son drew a picture of that car and sent it to Kanaan when he was about 6. Kanaan sent it back autographed with an invite to tour the shop in Columbus whenever he was in the area. He still has it.

The 1999 Tasman MacDonalds car transporter livery was even more impressive, but it had the aerodynamics of a brick. :gomer:

That Kanaan/Forsythe Micky D's car was from McD's Brazil if IRC. Back when the lemmings used to get all up in arms saying that the sponsorship wasn't from the States.

Didn't GF have a competition for the new paint scheme that they were going to unveil right before LB? Also, Petit's tubs have been added to the mix, right?

Hadn't heard about a paintscheme competition. Perhaps he should have tried a sponsor finding competition first. Anyway, I liked last year's scheme but I also like to see any scheme get updated yearly.

It was on CC's website, but I found out about it through CCF.com
http://www.champcarworldseries.com/News/Article.asp?ID=12433

Submitted three entries for the Champ Car. Probably won't find out who the winner is until Spring Training.

FWIW, most teams will run these initial tests with last year's livery or no livery until it gets close to the season opener.
