Timo Glock lands a ride at Toyota!

He did a nice job when he was in ChampCar, probably could have had a solid career here. But GP2 + BMW test driver was probably the better route to get into an F1 ride.

Cool. Liked his drive in CC, especially Montreal... except he didn't like those pesky chicaines. :D

From the article:
Contract Recognition Board

What's with all the governance in F1? Seems there are third parties that mysteriously control all sorts of aspects of the sport.

Either his contract had an exit clause or it didn't and if it didn't its something Toyota and Glock can negotiate. That's what lawyers are for. :gomer:

It's completely out of control... the FIA is run like a government bureaucracy.

Good for Timo. He had a goal and took some serious risks to get there. Pity he didn't stay, but good for him.

And I won't say a word about him and his team mate making the worst start in racing history;)

So Toyota saves millions and gets a guy that will very likely out drive Ralph in the car. Seems like a win to me.

That's just classic... when two people try to do the Schumacher chop at the same time. :D

Cool, he belongs in F1. Too bad t took a season with gentilozzi & gp2 to get him back. You'd thought scoring points in his debut with Jordan would have been enough....
