French authorities have launched an investigation into a crash involving an Airbus plane due to be delivered to the United Arab Emirates carrier.

An Airbus A340-600 due to be delivered to Etihad Airways as A6-EHG jumped its chocks during an engine test at Toulouse. The nose went up and through a blast fence. Five persons were injured.

No joke. Decades have been spent making the interiors more fire retardant. GE used to have an entire division with a research facility somewhere in Ohio IIRC.
