Sixty-five years after an American P-38 fighter plane ran out of gas and crash-landed on a beach in Wales, the long-forgotten World War II relic has emerged from the surf and sand where it lay buried.

I'm still waiting for somebody to go after all those planes lost on training missions in the Great Lakes!

There's a few of them down their but they're owned by the Navy.

There's a few of them down their but they're owned by the Navy. Got a family member in one of those. He was an instructor at Great Lakes and had taken up a friend who was a flight surgeon so the doc could log enough hours to get his flight pay. There was a mid-air with a pilot trainee in 1947. No recovery was made.
