Hamilton escapes Japanese GP penalty

Friday, October 5th 2007, 12:32 GMT

McLaren's Formula One championship leader Lewis Hamilton escaped sanction on Friday after a stewards' enquiry into his driving at last weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, the governing body FIA said.

Toro Rosso's Sebastian Vettel, who collided with Red Bull's Mark Webber in that race while following Hamilton behind the safety car, had a 10-place penalty on the Chinese Grand Prix starting grid replaced with a reprimand.

Hamilton can become Formula One's first rookie champion if he wins in China on Sunday.

OK Fred, you know what turn 1 is for, sharpen up that harpoon. If you're not sure what to do, Google Prost/Senna/Japanese Gran Prix :D

It's going to take finesse... he needs to put Hamilton out but keep himself in it! Better to pay off a backmarker to take Hammy out when he's being lapped. :)

Agreed... He'd want to be quick though - no one likes a whinging biotch...

Red cars on the front row, Fred inside row two and the cheating, chopping round headed bastard outside row two would be a perfect storm
