Did you....actually...watch the game?

TV guys couldn't even bring themselves to blame that pic on Rex. Offense was flat, special teams messed up in Q4, Mike Brown probably out for a good chunk of the season...again...

No big fan of Rex here, but you're reaching.

Sexy Rexy's going deep!!! (http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2006/11/f-k-it-im-throwing-it-downfield.html)

This is ****ing football. You can't just expect wins to come to you. You can't massage that ****. You gotta grab that game by the throat and rape the ever-loving **** out of it. You think a 5-yard out is gonna win you a game? You're a *****. This ain't John Shoop running this offense. Sexy Rexy's got the arm. The dragon. You gotta unleash the dragon.

Time for redemption against the mighty KC Chiefs. If Rex and Benson can't get hard for this game they are Kevin Spacey gay.

Over/under on defensive starters the Bears lose for the season in week 2?

Mariotti? You gotta' pull an article from that hack? :shakehead

And yes, Grossman should be done, but the whole team seems to be standing behind him. Of course, he might have more of a chance if the offensive line tried standing in front of him once in a while...

I hate Mariotti, but this was the most negative article I could find, and it sums up my feelings pretty well. (He did ream Danica, too. :D )

As far as the o-line, Kitna has been sacked 12 times and has a 90.7. Garrard, 10 and a 103.8. Rex has been sacked 9 times and is a 45.7 :gomer:

They've proven over the last 2 years that all he has to do is not lose and he can't even do that.

They never should have let Jones go, either.

2 of Sexy's picks were on medium timing routes where he wasn't overly pressured, iirc. The last one? Roy Williams? Sexy's going to let the most overrated safety (and I use the term "safety" loosely, here) in the league who couldn't cover a 6th grade B-team JV'er jump a 12 yard out? Are you kidding me?

The best part of this is that many Bear's fans think that Griese is the answer.

Brees was a free agent recently, as was Culpepper. Both are at least average, and have had consistent solid play at times in the past.

Of course, you were the guy who said neither Romo nor Williams deserved to be a pro bowler.

IThat shouldn't be breaking news, but some folks still doubted whether Tony Romo was legit before this trip. His domination of the big, bad Bears ought to answer any questions.

The stats are gaudy -- 22 of 35 for 329 yards and two TDs -- but they don't tell the whole story. Romo made plays downfield after escaping pressure several times, even though the Bears were well aware of his scrambling ability.

"We knew that coming in," Lovie Smith said, "but we were more impressed in person."

Romo is one of several NFL quarterbacks who can sit in the pocket and pick apart secondaries. He's one of few who can kill defenses when they put pressure on him.

"With the way he runs around and goes out there, he makes so many things happen for us," tight end Jason Witten said. "I tell you, man, this team and this offense, we don’t have a chance without him. He just makes so much stuff happen."

The price is going up every week, Jerry.

Roy's tackle on the TE over the middle was pro bowl worthy.

Wait, there was no tackle, he had an angle but just bumped into him intead, didn't even attempt to wrap up. Yea, he's a HoF lock...

This is where you follow with non sequiturs about his ex-gfs, plays in college, etc. ;) The only legit badass playing safety from the '02 1st round plays on the Chesapeake. Evil roy needs to be playing LB.

"When the Bears resume practice Wednesday to prepare for their Sunday game against the Lions, Brian Griese indeed will replace Rex Grossman at quarterback, a team source confirmed Tuesday.

The NFL Network was reporting the same thing."

Can the Dragon be unleashed from the bench?

They're finished. If history repeats Griese will have one good game. The faithful will proclaim him to be Lord and Savior. Then he will throw 3 stupid picks in the next game and the unraveling will begin. Mixed in there somewhere he will trip over a dog, fall up or down a flight of stairs, walk into a door, or crash his car. In none of these scenarios will he be drunk. ;) Even the Browns aren't stupid enough to have him on their roster. Bookmark this post, I am calling my shot. aaarrrrrrrr!

Did you two not end on good terms when he left Denver?

The Bears have a number of problems other than quarterback this year, one being the loss of almost half the defensive starters in 3 weeks. They had a chance to win the Super Bowl and didn't and now they may not be back for another 20 years, which highlights the Bears biggest problem, the McCaskey family.

Lovie press conference at 3:30, I won't believe until he says it.
