UM's D is P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C. And the O ain't much better. Jeebus.

All you UM goobers should just throw your swag into one big pile, pour gasoline on it, and torch it. Wow.

This from a team that got outgained @ home last week by Houston. :saywhat:

What was that stat they showed? ~140 and ~1200 yards allowed the past four games?

 Noooooooooo!!!!! LLLLLLLloyd is the best thing evar to happen to The OSU. :gomer:

Seriously, this has a feeling of 1987 all over again...OSU had high expectations going into the season, and Earl Bruce was sacked the week before The Game. John Cooper and 2-10-1 v. UM ensued. :(

I can only hope.

Seriously, with Lloyd himself saying he might not be back, they need to remove uncertainty or they risk hurting recuiting right now. The problem is who would you replace him with? I don't see them grabbing another coach from their assistants corp.

In reality I think they will allow Lloyd to announce soon his retirement at season's end with the rest of the year spent in a very public coaching search and an expectation that they will not return to form for a few years.

supposedly Carr was going to step aside after this season anyway, this definitely removes all doubt of that rumor.

Les Miles has the inside track especially if he takes LSU deep this year, it's long been talked about that he'd be Lloyd's successor. Ron English has probably thrown away any chance of him succeeding Carr with his weak schemes these past few years.

Miles can take on Tressell. It's the games where he has a 3-4 TD lead at home that he's going to end up throwing away, again, and again, and again.

All-time wins

1. Michigan 860
2. Notre Dame 821
3. Texas 812

2 seasons to catch ND, if Lester goes north we'll come close to closing that gap as well :D

BTW, I read that Miles has to pay LSU $1.25mm if he leaves for UM. Doesn't hafta payback a dime if he goes elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the speculation about Miles succeeding Carr seems certain to linger the rest of the season. Two points to note:

• Carr's contract was amended in December to allow him to receive a $300,000 bonus in 2008 even if he is not coaching football at Michigan, the Ann Arbor News reported. The contract also states that an associate athletic director's position is Carr's if he wants it when he retires.

• Miles has a clause in his contract that would require him to pay LSU $1.25 million if he leaves for Michigan before the contract expires in 2011, USA Today reported. He can leave for any other school at no charge. No question LSU suspects his heart is up north.
