Via Marxie, by way of Iglooboi:

Then again, maybe not. (http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/indycar/36896/)

Unless I miss something, I think Iglooboi has his one (and only) "gotchya" moment here.

BTW: In the Marxie piece, PG also denies that Cotman met w/ TG, FWIW.

why are we revisiting this?

Only b/c the Marxie quote is new. More of a commentary on management's honesty than anything else.

Hmm, semantics really. I can imagine KK would not equate his "suggestion" to actual official meetings between the two sides under the topic of "merger".

Suppose, but he said "conversations." Though, he probably meant it in an official sense, and it wasn't really "merger talk" anyway.

K, that's all.

Conversation implies an intelligent exhange by both parties. http://delivery.viewimages.com/xv/73683365.jpg?v=1&c=ViewImages&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF1932BBB80AB57C97602C53D4039619007B0 8D27467263035E98

"I can absolutely tell you that no one in Champ Car management or I or Paul or Dan or Jerry have had any conversations (insert "about unification") with the IRL in a year,"

Given the context of the question, it is pretty clear the above it what he meant. Even MarkC didn't think to challenge the statement with a follow up. It wasn't exactly obscure news in the racing world that KK made that offer in the spring.

I see it as an example of "untrustworthiness" only if you are already predisposed to that viewpoint towards the amigos

I guess the snowmobile business must be a little slow this time of year.
