Trust in Foyt. Guaranteed 5 mph slower than the competition. Poor Tex Manning. :(

ps: I've now had four phone calls asking if I wanted tickets... would it be a bad thing to round up some NASCAR oriented friends and drink overpriced beer and laugh at that?

:(

This was the interesting part, at least to me.

MAKE YOUR HOME ON THIS BEAUTIFUL 374+ ACRES. ALL THE WORK IS DONE FOR YOU, LAND IS CLEARED BUT HARDWOODS AND SOME PINES ARE LEFT. BUILD YOUR NEW HOME ON THE HILL OVERLOOKING THE PASTURES. PASTURES ARE FENCED AND CROSS FENCED. SMALL POND ON THE PROPERTY. HIGH AND DRY. THIS IS A.J. FOYT'S PROPERTY AND THE WORK DONE ON THE PROPERTY SHOWS. WON'T BE ON THE MARKET LONG!

The speed difference isn't that important when you're inverted.

Is there a track where they dont run flat out (besides road courses)? Just wondering.

The speed difference isn't that important when you're inverted.
Also, drag is significantly reduced when the wheels are not in contact with the racing surface.

They just mentioned on the broadcast how it was a GOOD thing that Dario's roll hoop collapsed during his wreck last week. They seemed especially proud of that fact. How does that even make sense? Isn't a roll hoop designed to not fracture under pressure like a wreck?

The IRL is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.....they patted themselves on the back for Dario not being maimed but refuse to address the major problem: the car is a POS designed to kill.

Of course the effect of banishing the cars would kill the league. They'd rather sacrifice their drivers though....

Hornish into the wall and collects Weldon. NASCAR rules: both crews trying to get them back out to run for points.

Hmmm, so lets see, 2x2, carry the eight, subtract belts and shoes, add the alaskan fish quota, and voila!

183,294. A sellout! That's like a racetrack record right there, I'll tell you whut.

 That was the greatest caution flag lap in the history of the IRL.....

DanicLE spins on outlap of pitstop.....she gets tow restarted and then wrecks hard almost collecting the safety car in front of her.

Best total collapse ever in IRL history. All in about 500 feet.

NOW AJIV leads......oh my....

WOW, MASSIVE Franchitti crash, got airborne again!

Catches nose on the matsura rear tire and does full gainer and 1/2 pike and stuck the landing into the wall, just missing the fence by about 3 feet!! Great stuff IRL....you almost bit it abgain Franschetti.

08-11-07, 08:29 PM
Matsura slowed, Dario didn't whoa up in time and went airborne. He was lucky that his impact with the wall after that wasn't worse.

Its kind of scary how easily these cars get airborne. :saywhat:

The usual stuff....revisionist history, lies, hypocrisy, bone headed moves, "our cars don't fly", "the big one, again", attendance woes, etc. Oh, and the ultimate in ow comedy.

DanIcLe spinning, then wrecking within several hundred feet under caution and then hearing her apologetic whine is precious.

Stupid Dario....that too goes w/o question.
