See ya.

Toro Rosso will officially complete its 2008 driver line-up on Wednesday, according to a specialist report on Tuesday.

Multiple Champ Car title winner Sebastien Bourdais has now reached a deal with the Faenza based team to replace Tonio Liuzzi from 2008, the Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell claimed.

28-year-old Bourdais will join the already-confirmed German rookie Sebastian Vettel in the team, and plans to relocate from Florida to Europe with his wife Claire and their baby daughter Emma.

The publication reported that Bourdais was tying up loose ends with his American employer Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing so that an official announcement could theoretically be made on Wednesday.

I won't miss him, but I hope he does well. Champ Car could use a good showing from their champion in F1. It has been a pretty long line of CC drivers getting dropped from F1.

Anyone see Scott Speed in the NHL car? It would be great to have another 'merican, especially in a top car.

AWESOME!!!

Can't wait to see what he can do. Hope he restores the ChampCar name on that side of the pond after the da Matta disaster...

He might still have the blessing of Red Bull, sounds like this was an issue with STR more than RB.

Scott Speed - meh.

My opinion of Americans in the series is the same as my opinion of ovals. It just isn't important anymore (especially whether they are Americans which has never been important to me). I know my kids don't know or care about a driver's nationality. They like the new guy that "was making fun of the guy in the McDonald's car  . Put in a hardworking driver with talent and personality.

Was Speed let go first, so it would appear that Seabass is replacing Liuzzi instead of Speed?

Speed was let go because his bosses were less than impressed with his driving... then he got the bright idea to call them out in the press and tell the world he didn't care anymore.

Cool move buddy. :p

Speed at N/H/L? Not likely. I think Wilson will be the top prospect there.

He got bounced because he wasn't getting along with the team and didn't keep that information to himself. One of them was definitely gone for 2008, probably both.

I was just throwing it out there. Given the Andretti history with N-H, the disaster of a season he's having in the IRL, his grandfather's (assumed) desire to not see him waste away in the IRL, etc.

It certainly wouldn't hurt CC to have those two on the same team, get Scott Speed...

I wish Bourdais the best, and hope he beats the crap out of Vettel. It is a dream come true for him to be in F1 and if he can beat his teammate I hope he gets a better ride in the future.

Great thing for F1 to see a 28yr old rookie again in F1.

And I hope Scott Speed does not go to Champ Car.

Also where are all the IRL F1 drivers. Champ Car drivers may have troubles(see JV, AZ and loudmouth JPM) but at least our drivers know how to impress people when it counts. When is Buddy Laziers i500 victory getting him a ride in F1?

There was a time when I was certain Marco would land at N/H. It all seemed so...logical. I know Grampa wanted it that way and there was quite a family struggle there for awhile but Mario knew when to back off and I'm still not convinced it won't happen. Maybe when Rahal goes to F-1 and Marco hits NASCAR!:D
