Patwreck Carbender, road racing specialist. No way the Cup drivers will let him do well at Watkins Glen.

Patrick Carpentier is on the preliminary entry list for the August 12th Centurion Boats at the Glen race at Watkins Glen International.

Ride buyer?

Maybe he gets in if there ISN'T a ride buyer?

Patreek would be in CCWs if he could even raise 500k. That's why unkia Ger let him go - he can't raise a cent. Nice guy, would be good to have back int he series, but alas, no cash, no gas.:irked:

I re-read the link. He is in for Scott Riggs for one race.

The Valvoline Evernham car. It hasn't exactly been very competitive this year.

Glad to see it. I'm headed up on Thursday and its nice to have a real road racer to root for. And the bunch of Canadians that always come down will have someone more than Fellows to root for.

I wonder if he'll do the Busch race too.

He's not entered in the Busch race as it stands now, but Max Papis, Boris Said, Jorge Goeters, Ron Fellows, Andy Lally, Scott Pruett, Andy Pilgrim, Robby Gordon, Scott Pruett, and Juan Montoya (Mexico rematch) are.

Practically a CART old timers day. :gomer:

Cool. the Busch race will likely be the best race of the weekend.

Pruett IIRC has raced (or tried to race) all three races on the weekend the last few years. His Cup ride doesn't always make it because its usually an extra Ganassi entry and doesn't have owner points.

The cars are so hideous on the road courses... like watching an elephant figure skate. :p

But great line-up. And watching Juan in Mexico is probably my racing moment of the year right now. :)

Driving two cars in the Busch race is going to be tough, I give him credit for that.
