Doesn't the first turn terrace include the bleachers which are open to the public daily to watch testing?

The first turn terrace is the set of bleachers open to the public during testing.

Er, was.

Hum...

Cutting out over 5000 seats that should bring in in excess of $125,000. while also pouring more money into changing the track so he can pay yet more money to Dorna to bring MotoGP?

They must only teach that business course in Terre Haute. :tony:

Whats sad is even if you watched the BY 400 (the biggest event there now :( ) you could see that there were plenty of open seats, Its still not gonna sell out with 5000 less seats.

Pretty sad.....

attn gomers:

don't look for the bikers to respect the site of the first time you up-chucked your first beer.

The Indy 500 will still be the 3rd most important race at the Brickyard in 2008 and the gomers will still whine about it.

So instead of having 75,000 empty seats at the races they will only have 69,900:rolleyes:

Really, who cares.

What they need to do is downsize TG. Put him back in his former role as good for nothing %*$ for brains that isn't in charge of anything more important than his own digestive tract.

I was reading the Indystar forums and read this GEM of a reply to Tony George KILLED the 500:

Tony George is out looking for the real killer of the Indy 500.

Sincerely,
OJ Simpson:rofl:

best thing is to put a bunch of B-2's wing tip to wing tip and nuke the place

Track president Joie Chitwood called it “insignificant” during today's tour of the construction site

5136 is just a number

Before the golf course, there used to be bleachers on the inside of all four turns, and even a few bleachers in the inside back stretch. For the one and only 500 I attended in person in 1992, I sat in bleachers in the inside of turns 3 and 4 in the short chute.

The USAF has specific weapons for pavement busting that lets redevelopment start without a half a million year wait. And they won't make Ziggy's house glow in the dark, either.
