Q:What's up with Milka?...shouldn't she be in the line up for the road courses??

A:well, gee, since she's supposedly a ROAD RACER, you'd think that's the first place she'd have raced but, no, she's still an oval track specialist. :saywhat:

Q: Hey Robin, How much is Tony G is paying you to bad mouth CCWS?

A: Tony sends me a monthly check for $10,000 plus lets me ride in his helicopter twice a week.

Now that Ryan Daziel is out for this Sunday's race who do you will replace him?

I would hire Nelson Philippe but I don't know as this time.

Q: if you were given budget to run two cars in a series, who would be your drivers and would you run in cc or irl and why?

A: I'd run two cars in Champ Car with Alex Gurney & Jon Fogarty before moving John Edwards up. Gurney & Fogarty got screwed by CART and they would be good for the series. I'd run Indy with Dave Darland because he's a helluva racer and deserves it.

Q: Do you think ISC would would ever seriously consider running ALMS at one of their tracks?

A: no chance. those grand am *****oxes would be so out-classed by the ALMS cars, it would be embarassing.

Door swings both ways Rail. ;)

because the IRL is all about young, American sprint and midget drivers. their sex has nothing to do with it.

I know, but that's what your gonna get in these "real-time: deals. It doesn't help the Speed limits queries to 3 lines.

Anyway,

Ed, Hartford: Do you think McLaren should be penalised?
:
absolutely but Bernie is in their politicking because he wants Hamilton to be champion. Ron Dennis needs to be lethally injected with tobasco.

Gotta love this ? though:

Spicoli, Indy: Without Honda $$$, what happens to the IRL as we know it today? And what would be the next version of the Vision?
:
maybe TG opens up the engine rules to everybody. I'm told Vision Racing may be expanding to NASCAR and F1. OK, maybe that's a joke.

This new girl... is she heading on the fast track for the IndyCar Series? the fast track to orthopedic surgery would be my guess.

robin what are the chances of newman/hass/lanigan moving to irl next year? about the same as milka duno winning Indy.

Robin Why do people hate paul Gentillozzi so much? this chat only last two hours, I don't really have enuff time to explain that = paper is spinning this

word from CC teams about what they think of Cotman? Any teams dislike him (besides PG) the drivers respect him and 90 percent of the paddock is very happy to have a smart, savvy leader who leaves his ego at home. unlike the other series.

Robin who was the worst leader of the IRL? oh, there has only been one well, we had Jack Long and Leo Mehl, both duds, but I think TG has to assume the spotlight.

Is Milka good enough to even drive the pace car? maybe at a street course like st. pete.

Dear Robin, Maybe Paul,,,Gentillozzi,,,is just,,,misunderstood? yeah, so was Hitler now you've pissed off paper oops

I know there are some very passionate people on the forums but I guess my point once was that some of the IRL zealots think racing started in 1996 and have no clue about the good old days. and now that the IRL is CART Lite, they embrace it like it's some kind of new idea.

ZING!

Asking what needed asking:

Kevin A., Willoughby: Robin, care to react to the latest controversies involving yourself, G. Kirby, and other reporters versus ChampCar?
:
can't speak for anyone but myself and I have no issue with champ car, a couple of their higher ups obviously have an issue with my reporting of Tony Cotman replacing Steve Johnson in the day-to-day running of the series. so they revoked my hardcard. SPEED chose not to send me to Elkhart Lake. we weren't going to europe or australia so we'll likely cover the last two races in North America. not having a hardcard doesn't mean I can't go thru the track and get a press pass, which is what I'll do.

Racing Truth
08-22-07, 02:41 PM
fds, chicago: Robin is it true that Your Favoite Drivers Sucks.com issued you one of their hard cards?
:
I proudly have it displayed on my wall and I will be wearing it to the Champ Car banquet if I'm invited.

Matt C. Lark, Rockin on Your Dime: Robin, who's actually, truly running ChampCar these days- Kalkhoven, Forsythe, or guys who post on internet forums?

So Cotman and TG sat down. Anythign more to tell us?

nope, Cotman just told George he hoped the owners would keep May open because he felt they could get 6-8 drivers at Indy. he didn't ask for any handouts or deals and they didn't mention unification.

Why doesn't CC move its HQ to LA? The series seems to be much more west coast than midwest at this stage.

well, considering one of owners lives in San Jose, one lives in Chicago, the head of marketing lives in KC and the new PR saviour lives in Jacksonville, I guess LA would make sense.

I'd go to Maine. As long as no one is getting married the Road America weekend, you'll still have one race. I don't know if I'm going to Toronto. I hope to be working. Or should I say I better be working.

Worst case scenario, it's an IRL race. :D

And failing that, we can go out and get loaded. :D
