I wish you'd realize how pathetically bitter (as well as ignorant) you sound whenever create these stupid threads. If you hate the IRL so much, just ignore it. I honestly think your IRL:Champ Car post ratio has to be 5:1.

I have to agree with SOG on this one. Obviously, the IRL has slower cars and less talented road course drivers in general. But they aren't that much slower. Not only are speeds entirely arbitrary these days, but if you were to ask any question, it should be why the Champ Cars are barely faster than crapwagons.

Weak hate.

Nope. They be coming back onto ABC once the playoff is over, yo. CCWS will be fine unless they end up with a double playoff, which may be hard to fit in due to the lateness of the day over there. :)

I finally saw tape of some the Madness at Mid-Ohio. Seeing Princess Permapout go backwards at the start was a hoot -- she looked as bad as in her oval restarts as a rookie. She should have no complaints about getting taken off in an incident with a driver who was actually trying to race and move up on the first lap.

I find it rather ironic that Tex Manning is the unarguably the best driver Foyt has had in one of his cars during the entire span of the IRL, but unsurprisingly the team isn't up to getting him the results his remaining talents deserve.

As for the rest, ho-hum.... what a parade. ;)

It does seem odd that the pace car was still on the track going into the keyhole, but it sure seems like everyone else dealt with it OK. IMO, Danica just didn't get her foot into it to keep up with Gaylio.

IIRC, there's a pull-off area near the keyhole. C^RT moved the start to the back stretch in the late 90s to avoid pileups in the keyhole like the festival curve in Portland.

According to both TK and Princess, she started sliding going into braking point of the turn. She left the inside way open. Had it been a better driver in Kanaans place, it would've been a pretty simple pass, since it was Kanaan, it was a move Senna would only shake his head at.
