It doesn't have to be that way...

A remote to shoot warm water on your ass and then blow dry it. :saywhat: I guess that is the key to "freshness" for some people, but I'm not one of them. :D Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Given the poor effectiveness of a typical hand dryer I have to wonder just how long they expect you to sit on this thing waiting on the drying cycle.

I also wonder how many people have an electrical outlet behind their toilet.

For some reason, this strikes me as very funny.

Watch your aim please! Electrical outlet in the area.

You're not allowed to stand and pee at those, you have to sit down and when you're finished use the pulsating "front" washer and blow dryer.

You'd need the outlet installed for the beer fridge anyway.

The first electric toilet/bidet combo unit I came across was in a small hotel in Geneva in 1992. The operation manual, complete with illustrations, was really funny. I was wondering if daily use of the dryer would result in chapped parts during winter....? :gomer:

These Toto retrofit seat units started showing up in some higher end Japanese hotels a couple years later. They have been on sale here since the late 90's but bidets are still an alien concept in the US. Daily showers and all.

It's clear from this thread that Toto would have sold more if they had added a few enhanced cycles to give them, ummm, more entertainment value...:D
