Congrats to TG and the IRL for another record! Smallest crowd ever at TMS. Even ABC/ESPN can't hide the empy seats. Thanks again Tony.

There is literally nothing else to watch tonight, so I tuned in. This is my first IRL race in about 2 years, and I'm happy to report that Scott Goodyear hasn't changed a bit. I'm going to list every moronic thing he says during the race. I may not make it the entire race, so someone else may have to take over for me.

Dan Wheldon coming up behind Patrick:
"Dan doesn't like being behind cars that are in front ..."

After John Herb loops it in pit lane:
"It looked like maybe the back end came around on him"

Tee hee. I just heard him say 'I just looked up in the stands and there isnt a person sitting in them'. :D Then followed it up with 'theyre all standing".

Oh, not sure if you know, but these cars go the length of a football field in 8/10 of a second. Not sure if thats been covered . Why did my wife turn this on? And why am I still watching this? Ugh. 10 minutes til SNL. At least I got to see Tomas get all pissy and marco overshoot his pit by, uh...20 feet. :shakehead

Well folks, I apologize; and then again, I don't.
I'm afraid I pulled a Rusty and fell asleep in my recliner, but I did wake up in time to see the "almost big one". Did Scott say anything stupid while I was out? Uhhh, that IS a rhetorical question btw. :D

I did'nt even make it to the green flag. First is was the Danny vs Danicle promo, then sweaty, beady eyed Aroot grinning like a maniac in the pits, then they cut to Goodyear and I shut it off.

danicant was so good she finished in -1/4st place in the race

off next to iowa. a track that would make an awesome venue for a championship race

ESPN2 ran the race winner's name in the crawl at the bottom of the screen while the race still had 20 laps to go.

Tape delay is a beautiful thing.

I think Jack is disturbing. That look on his face scares me. He looks like Chucky, only Jack is real :shudder:

I popped over to TF yesterday, and the thread about this goof was already over 2 pages, with the goobers and gomers sending emails and letters. The truly sad thing was that they needed to be reminded that thoughtful, well-written comments are handled better than ones filled with hatred and profanity.

A point to not be missed, apparently Stupid Ed touched someone and started "the big one" that took out the entire Vision team in one convulsive dry heave (as well as dave, Snot and several others). The futility is directly responsible for the media whore's 3rd place win and Charo's 11th placing in victory lane.:yuck:

Not that it matters - Was is Special Ed's wheel or IV's that came off on the track? In any case all involved partys should send their bills to FTG.

IV's. The race will be extended 50 kilometers next year because danican't complained that 550k's didn't give her enough time to catch hornich

When they asked if I'd be in for $5 on Jon Herb, I thought they meant... oh, nevermind.

Dang, I picked a bad week to start gambling.
