Or, was it a pr ploy to get fans in the gate. He was not out for first practice and at this point is not out for the second session. I would think he will miss the first qualifying session as well.

He is out now for qualifying which means they've been busting their butts to get the car fixed. Well, at least he has been on the track many times.
