As with cliff diving, looks like one of those things you are likely to kill yourself while learning to get good at it. I don't suppose there is a flight simulator for it.

Easily could have been a Darwin Award candidate: "Hey Hans, I have a great idea. How about I strap this rocket engine to my back and jump out of an airplane? What could possibly go wrong?"

Looks like fun though.

Of course, real men don't need to jump out of the airplane to fly that thing...they just strap on some rollerblades and take off from a runway...
