Roush drivers Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray, Greg Biffle and David Ragan were joined on stage by Red Sox pitchers Mike Timlin, Josh Beckett and Tim Wakefield behind Boston's 2004 World Series trophy and Roush's two Cup trophies

Roush gave up 50% of the race team in the partnership, although he maintains operational control.

He declined to say how much he reaped in the deal. Henry said the $50 million figure that has appeared in some reports was inaccurate, but refused to give the correct amount.

Henry, whose team plays in Fenway Park, said the delay in the agreement had to do with the "50 contracts" that had to be worked out between Roush Racing and Henry's Fenway Sports Group.

"It's one thing to agree on what you should do," Henry said. "It's another thing to get the lawyers on both sides to agree on everything."

Roush said the first noticeable change, outside the new name, will come when the team begins to rely on Fenway Sports' marketing expertise.

I am a little surprised they didn't stand the frozen body of the Splendid Splinter up with all those trophies.

I hear he wants to buy into The Monster Mile also.

If you Google Roush Industries you'll find that he's only sold a half interest in the entertainment side of his business. He's still got full control of the really profitable engineering services and development parts of the company, which is a multinational with facilites in North America, Europe, and Asia.
