A.J. Allmendinger's Sin City experience can be summed up in two words: growing pains.

The Red Bull rookie's test session was cut short after he tore up his back-up car on Monday and then destroyed his primary car after just a few laps on Tuesday morning when his right front tire exploded.

Allmendinger had a tough time finding speed in his Toyota Camry during both days on the racetrack. Monday's times were 76th fastest in the morning (30.170 seconds, 178.986mph) and 66th on the afternoon speed chart (29.907 seconds, 180.560mph). Allmendinger's Tuesday time was 87th — second to last.
