Coyne 5 and 6 with Legge in the lead? That's impressive.

RuSPORT?

Yes. Pettit said someplace that there wouldn't be a name change for the team at least for this season. Mario still has the Pemex pesos and that means owners aren't calling him "Stooopid Mario" to his face. ;)

I just love the fact that the "V" in PKV Racing... good ol' Jimmy V, as in Jeemy Vasser, has got a posted time and it aint too shabby !!!!
Way to go, Jeemy !

50.9 was a very quick time in testing on the short course with the old Lola last fall. Supposedly the fastest lap ever is 50.3, but I've looked for a solid source on that and not found one. Interestingly, PT said something about wanting to get into the 49s with the new car.

They will. My guess is if they could get THAT close to a record with a new car in just 2-3 days of testing, records should fall...but not by much. Weight is the same or maybe even a tad heavier depending on who you talk to. The on-board starter and battery took care of what was going to be only slight weight saving, nothing like the 100lbs. originally discussed. The biggest thing as far as lap times, especially on shorter and tighter tracks is the reduced wheelbase. Should turn better. Will the paddel-shifting help? Quicker changes? Is aero better? Next year when teams are allowed more leeway on "development" I think we'll see times come down even more. The only thing I've read that worries me (and this from before the prototype even ran) is gearbox (Hewland) related. Last minute redesign for the cover, downshift problems mentioned by Moreno after day 1, small leaks and a couple of more comments from drivers this week. Hope they figure it out.

Also...If Doornbos is doing F-1 testing for Red Bull (just announced) can he also be a CC full-timer? (unannounced) If he can't do EVERY race then put one of our guys in there! (Speedy) but keep the RB $$:)
