72-year-old Hylton plans to enter '07 Daytona 500

Forty-one years after making his Daytona 500 debut, James Hylton feels now is as good a time as any to give it another go.

I hope he makes it! I saw him race in ARCA a few years ago, and I couldn't believe my eyes. But he is a lot better then a lot of other guys out there, that's for sure!

If he makes it he'll earn $250k plus or minus.

I'm old enough to remember James Hylton beating up on guys like Lee Roy Yarborough and Bobby Allison. If he can qualify, I say rock on old timer!

If it all goes terribly wrong, that would be sad, but it still beats dying in a nursing home.

Too bad Dan Gurney isn't filing an entry. He has 250% more wins in the division and can still drive with the best of 'em.

Dan knows better... It 'aint about the money.
