Ariel Atom = cool car!

When my husband Rick saw the huge auto transporter pull up in front of our house today, he thought that Santa had arrived a little early. No such luck! Our neighbor the VARA member had sold his racy Porsche 914 to a guy in Florida, and the transporter was there to take it to its new home. The crew had to unload a couple of fine autos to get the Porsche into the transporter, and when Rick saw one of them, he fetched me outside to show it to me. It was an Ariel Atom:

I WANT ONE!!!!!! It is a waaaay cool-looking ride, kind of like a 2-seater Champ Car. I could almost overlook the Honda engine. :D

We've had a few Atom discussions here. Not to sound selfish, but I was pushin 4rnr to purchase one. I offered to meet him out there and help him drive it home.

He was good people to hang with, and i'm sure would have been a great trip.

Yep, the 340R. There were eight imported to the US, IIRC.
