It's not the final livery. :gomer:

Nov.10 (GMM) An exclusive photograph taken by Spanish newspaper Marca shows that part of McLaren's next livery will be Ferrari-red. The photo, depicting Pedro de la Rosa at the wheel of this year's MP4-21 car running behind closed doors at Jerez, shows the silver racer with red sidepods and white logos in deference to the new title sponsorship with former Ferrari backer Vodafone. A band of red colour also runs down the spine of the single seater's engine cover, while - according to Bild newspaper - the rear wing, now a similarly deeper shade of red than this season, will boast the name 'Vodafone' in 2007 rather than that of Emirates. McLaren's Vodafone backing is worth upwards of $57m, the German daily tabloid added. Mercedes-Benz's competition director Norbert Haug, however, denied that the new livery means that the familiar 'Silver Arrows' would fade in 2007. "No," he insisted. "The Silver Arrows has never been more alive! The colour silver will be prominent also on the 2007 car." The MP4-22 will be unveiled officially at Valencia in January.

This has been taken out of context as you can see over the years buy wannabe "hackers" and children with nothing more to do than try to act `leet`.

And, yes, Mclaren will suck in '07.:D

Absolutely. In their favor, though, is the fact that Renault & Ferrari might suck even worse.

There is no reason to expect Honda and Toyota not to suck as well. And Williams will use Toyota engines likely to suck as well.

2007 should be.......well, I'm at a loss for words....

Wow. McLaren goes back to that enormously long airbox they had on that pig Mansell couldn't fit into in 1995. Or maybe they need all that sail area to get Mobil and Mercedes-Benz on a readably flat surface?

That's the first thing I noticed... I wonder how much further they're allowed to extend it. It'd look much tidier if it were to swoop down about the midpoint of the viking wing, imo. I also wonder how much the size is dictated by the Mobile1 signage. If it gives up little to no aero advantage I'm sure several million in sponsorship could enlarge the airbox to suit.

;)

Mansell drove for McLaren in 1995. In 1997 Newey arrived at Woking. mmm I'd guess that the guy who designed the 1995 car was waiting all these years for newey o move on before ressurecting the old design.
