On speed now. Here's your chance to check out the marque venue that the Earl added to the 2007 schedule.:D

John Paul Montana is starting third.

Hey, guess what? For the League this is probably a great track and facility. I made light of that whacked 1.3 mi. "road" course that GA will run, but for a short oval it looks superior. Huh, took JPM 7 laps to start lapping people. He likes it low. A real stock car veteran, now!

Think about it. Rumor is it cost 5 mil to get JPM out of his F-1 contract so he could do these prep races before next season and we're worried about AJA wanting 3 mil for a whole season!:D Geez, Juan, "Outside, outside, outside" from your spotter means the guy in coming up on YOUR outside, not "go to the outside!" BAM! Well, that's why he's here, to lean all that junk.

I agree that the track is nice. Would be really something to watch open wheel on this track w/ minimal downforce.

Yeah, I tuned in to check out the track, and surprise, surprise, no Monty. Behind the wall at the time, no doubt.

All gomer jokes aside, the track looked better than I expected. What are the banking angles? If they are flat enough, they just may produce a decent OW race.

Don't know. It had blank sidepods, uh, sides. It was white, though.

And speaking of $5 million, I hear that is what ol' Mark Martin gets to run 3 more years for his new team. I'd find it tough to retire if someone offered me $15 million, too! He gets social security when that contract expires, right?

y'know, every time I see Mark Martin I have a mental image that he should be walking away from an F-15 with his flight suit on and carrying his helmet...

The guy just looks like a fighter pilot. I think that's why I like him.

Good observation. I never looked at it that way, but you're right.

Mark Martin, one of the very BEST things about NASCAR. (He looks more like a pilot than Jack does sitting in his P-51!:D )
