No shame here. We adopted a dog with some issues and it's been hugely helpful in getting them under control. His original family had a dad who was alergic to dogs. I think he learned to be possessive about things (toys, beds, etc) to keep them from being taken away when dad was around.

Our other dogs are pretty well behaved. Growing up, my dad taught me a very similar way of dealing with dogs. "Dogs expect discipline and leadership, it doesn't hurt their feelings." So we started from a good position with them.

The new guy has to be shown who's boss from time to time when he gets too obsessed with a toy and doesn't want to give it up, but he's light years better and keeps improving as we're able to deal with his tantrums in a "calm, assertive manner."

Originally the previous owner just wanted us to keep him until the breeder could come and pick him up, but we decided to adopt him. We're glad we did because now he's a sweetheart and we have little doubt that the breeder would have put him down as unsuitable for adoption.

Yeah, I know, I'm just defensive from always explaining that having 3 headstrong rescues with more issues than the Hemingway family requires all the help we can get. ;)

After watching the show it's clear that Ninja have real ultimate power.

Actually I was more impressed by the Ninja guy's balance than by any of the strikes or kicks.
