"AGR Snags Danica with $21 Million Motorola Deal

If it sounds like a big deal it's because it is -- especially for sponsor-poor open wheel racing.

SPEEDTV.com has learned that Andretti/Green Racing was able to sign Danica Patrick because it's struck a $21 million deal with Motorola to sponsor the Indy Racing League's most popular driver.

Sources say it's a three-year deal for $7 million a season which, by today's standards, is a blockbuster.

Michael Andretti's relationship with Motorola goes back to his CART days in 2001 and it's believed the Chicago-based electronics giant only wanted back into open wheel if Patrick was involved."


Sounds like real foldin' money.

Motorola are moving a lot of their mobile phones for young people. Princess fits their marketing strategy perfectly.
