Interesting for them to put up a poll before the IRL race, but way after CC has been at The Mile. I guess that's all the more reason to get out there and vote for CHAMP CAR!!!!!

Somewhat OT...I was listening to ESPN Radio while gardening on Monday, and one of the fill ins was ranting about athletes getting media/marketing exposure w/o earning props from results. He picked Jr. as an example of this, but I wanted to call in so badly to rant about Danicle and The Partner building her up. ESPN/ABC is so freaking hyprocritical. :saywhat: :flame:

I wonder if the suit opens up all the way to the navel.

Anyone know if the head realistically bobbles?

Silly conebasher... you get a bubblebutt -- no, err, bobblehead -- for showing up and Danicle gets an Xth-place "win" just for doing the same thing.

I hope Danica has a good lawyer.
That doll is such a poor likeness and so ugly, I think she should sue someone for defamation.

Only 51% last I looked. :saywhat: Just got back from quallies. Place was pretty lively. WAY more people there than at CC Saturday. Midget race, Silver Crown quals. ICS race etc. Lots to see and hear. That track is a USAC place. A stock car type crowd. If there was CC/League unity the week after Indy here would, COULD not miss. It is just the kind of driver's oval OW needs, but CC alone or with BMWs will not get the support there it needs. Too bad. You pair up with ALMS at a place like RA and USAC at a place like Milwaukee. Just one more plus a merger could bring.

48/1/10/41% now.

The IRL crowd is out in force. Of course, seems like an odd week to have that poll since most of the visitor's of the site are probably looking for event information and the CC race is done and IRL is this weekend.

Exactly so, but I have to believe the changing figures more accurately reflect the opinion of those who actually attend races at The Mile. The high CC figure early on is what really surprised me. Nothing unusual about a Midwest crowd brought up on stocks, modifieds, sprints, midgets, Kenseth and Kulwicki, with fond memories of AJ Foyt, voting for an oval series over what they see as a foreign street series. Truth be known, they can't afford to keep the race that loses the most and they have no power to force them to compete together. I think they want the survey to confirm what they already know. I'm not there today, but I wonder if Fat Boy will exhort the crowd to shun merger and say "I'll see y'all here next year...the week after Indy!" Sad for openwheel, but not perhaps for most fans of The Mile.
