I don't know about Roper and Eibert - but back in the days of Siskeil and Ebert, if they both hated it, it was a great movie. If Gene S. babbled on and on about "cinematography" and "the art of movie making", it meant it was a real dog. If Gene liked it ans Ebert hated it, it was usually a stinker of a movie. If they both raved about it, is was HORRIBLE (Isthar and Chariots of Fire bad. real bad)

Ebert wrote a script for a Russ Meyer movie way back when..... :D

I heard about that before, ebert passes himself off that this astute movie critic when he worked with a guy who made some of the most trash filled films of all time.
