It seems that Charles Hall has left Transnet to try to find a better team.

It seems that David Martinez has run out of money and is out of the series for the moment.

And the same article said that Charles Hall is talking to US RaceTronics about a ride.

Charles Hall has announced that he will no longer be competing with Transnet Racing at future rounds of the 2006 Champ Car Atlantic Championship.

Due to his frustration over the team's preparation and performance, the British racer has opted to leave the squad after competing with Transnet over the first three rounds of this season's Atlantic Championship.

Hall wishes to thank the team for its efforts and the 26-year-old racer also wants to acknowledge engineer Alain Clarinvale and Hall would look forward to working together with Clarinvale again in the future, should the opportunity arise.

Hoping to return to the series with another team as soon as possible, Hall believes the organization and environment of the Champ Car Atlantic Championship is the place to be for any young career driver.

While Hall continues his development and searches for the right opportunity moving forward, he wishes Transnet Racing the very best of luck for the remainder of the season.

Driver firing team. Well that's different.

New to this sport, eh?

Drivers firing teams is hardly new. Especially in the ladders. Been going on since dirt was new.

No, it used to happen. Lately it hasn't been happening. Nice thing is that some level of normalcy is returning to the Champ Car/ Atlantic world. Teams firing drivers that are not fast enough, ladder drivers dropping teams that are not fast enough. This hasn't happened very much in the last few years.

At least some people are starting to focus on performance again.
