I saw that once many years ago. I miss that era of F1.

Thanks

Fun to see Jackie spoofing himself in the chaffeur role. I like him but I've never seen much of a sense of humor in him

we don't need no stinking segways..... ;) although we should probably have a youtube sharing thread in the community forum..... I always seem to find something neat whenever I browse the site....

Believe it or not I have that song on vinyl, I don't remember the name of the album, but I know I have it. Harrison wrote that song as a tribute to Ronnie Peterson. That was truly the golden era of Formula One. I went to the USGP at Watkins Glen many times and saw many of those people and cars in competition. Can you imagine they raced without the use of computers, and they were able to find drivers that knew how to heel & toe!

That says that the record was to raise money for Gunner Neilson, but I'm sure I read that the song was a tribute to Ronnie Peterson. I'll try to find the LP, it's got to be around here someplace.

I bought the CD - at full price ($18, since George's stuff never seems to sell for less) - just for this song within the past year. Didn't know it was ever actually released as a single (I assume only in the UK).

Now that I went looking round youtube for Murray, when did the aussies kidnap him?!? You'd think that would piss the Brits off more than the Falklands ;)

Anyways, He apparently did TEN's broadcast of this year's Albert Park race.... Good to hear his voice again.....

I never said or implied the aussies invaded the falklands :p

But anyways, back on point....

It would have been fun to see the whole aussieGP race this year with Murray commentating for TEN channel. The race was a crazy one and hearing him call it would have been great.

I remember that race well because I scored 1 whole freakin point in the OC F1 fantasy pool. I had Chinboy in group A, and he crashed..... Massa and Rosberg in group B, and they crashed each other out at the first corner, and Ferrari for group C.....

Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper..... http://www.sportsinferno.com/forums/images/smilies/MHZrant.gif

One of the treats from when I got to watch the BBC coverage was watching an Australian GP in the mid 90's. Alan Jones was a guest in the booth and nearly gave Murray a heart attack when he used "Michael Schumacher" and "arrogant little kraut" in the same sentence.
