Was Sam Pornish's 219.9 lap on the last lap the fast lap of the race?

And, is there a site which lists the last 5 laps for Pornish, Marco, Michael, Wheldon, Kanaan and Dixon?

Nope. Hornish was faster earlier in the race and Dixon had the fastest lap.

From the section time reports at Indycar.com:

6 9 Dixon, Scott D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.6777 221.251 40
5 11 Kanaan, Tony D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.7502 220.858 78
1 6 Hornish Jr, Sam D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.7734 220.732 83
25 3 Castroneves, Helio D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.8461 220.339 101
9 8 Sharp, Scott D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.8585 220.272 166
4 10 Wheldon, Dan D/H/F Lap 2.500000 40.8814 220.149 188

7 27 Franchitti, Dario D/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.0862 219.052 176
26 15 Rice, Buddy P/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.1270 218.834 9
8 16 Patrick, Danica P/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.1510 218.707 187
10 4 Meira, Vitor D/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.1692 218.610 134
11 20 Carpenter, Ed D/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.2099 218.394 78
3 1 Andretti, Michael D/H/F Lap 2.500000 41.2099 218.394 12

The rest of the data you are interested in must be available someplace. I wonder if the folks at IMS would let you have it, even at the risk of demystifying the "spectacular" second closest finish ever? Just looking at the fastest laps and section times, Mikey was dogmeat and even Marco's grandmother could have passed him. Meanwhile, for what it's worth, Hornish appears capable of going faster than Marco on any section of any lap.

Of note, Hornish's final lap was the fastest led lap of the race.

BTW-Pornish is a stupid nickname.

Is it just me or did it seem like half the field was a lap down by lap 25?

Thats what happens when half the field doesnt belong on a racetrack.

So, I asked the same question in a thread called "Wow" in the motorsport.com forum, which happens to be the autoracing1 forum and the post got edited by some w*nker named boilerIMS. Then, I got banned for it. I wonder what these yoyos are trying to hide?

There were only 9 cars left on the lead lap by the halfway mark.

Yes, I noticed that. I find it hard to believe the difference in aero could create that much distance on the track.
