...for contact with the wall?

Does he/she take anyone with him/her?

Me?

Hornish tries to lap Chesson on lap 12 and they both hit the wall.

I'm thinking Marco Andretti and Cheever, in Turn 4.

What's the over/under on hearing "And Andretti slows on the backstretch?" on Sunday?

Depends on how they run that pace lap. If they get way strung out like a few years ago where everyone was virtually single file and P1 was going through T1 as the last row was still going through 4, then I'd say someone will lose it due to their sheer excitement coupled with wankerness.

Arie Jr. will run into someone.
Larry Foyt will spin himself out.
The Andretti's will pull the Cheever split ala 1992. Age and inexperience on the part of the 2 Andretti's will foil the move.
Danicle hits someone during her early charge to the rear.

I must have missed something.

At one point in the 2nd half of the race, Danica pitted and as she left the caution came out.

One of the announcers said she would be a lap down, but when everything shook out, she was still on the lead lap. What happened there? How could she have not been a lap down after that caution came out?

All the leaders pitted, which left her among the cars behind the pace car but ahead of the eventual leader. The IRL apparently has a rule that allows everyone in that position to go by the pace car and rejoin at the rear of the field.

The pace of some of those backmarkers was incredibly slow. This is the first year I can recall in a long time that there were that many cars on the track that were merely moving chicanes.

It also didn't look like it was a good day to be in the pits. One of Simmons guys was hit and Sammy Ho almost burned his pit down. I'm amazed that he managed to come back from a drive thru penalty and win the race.

Penske took the blame for the pit incident. He said he thought the fueler was clear and told Sam to go, but the nozzle got hung up as the fueler tried to take it out.

It actually makes a bit of sense. That way the back markers are in the back and the lead car is behind the pace car. While it artifically give people a lap back, it also avoids the leaders having to artificially pass a clump of backmarkers just because a yellow came out.

Pick your poison.
