Ah yes, that fateful race at Imola. Didier Pironi was supposed to hold station behind Villeneuve but instead stole the race. The pictures of Villeneuve's face on the podium that day told the story. All bets were off, and the glowering look on Gilles' face said it all....Pironi had committed the gravest sin, he went back on his word...

I've been to the Gilles Villeneuve Museum in Berthierville, Quebec. I went on my day off from the Trois-Rivieres race. It's not that far from the track at all.

It's great they are honoring him.
