If you haven't come across Michael Yon's blog site you should check it out. Michael Yon is a former Special Forces soldier and author who went to Iraq to find out first hand what was going on. He posted dispatches and images as an embedded journalist with the U.S. military for most of last year. The results could be uplifting or heartbreaking, but it's always compelling.
Yon completed his assignment as an embedded journalist late last year. Now he's on his way back into Iraq, but this time without the protection of the U.S. military. Definitely worth reading.
