Just saw it on sprortscenter and it looks really bad. Very similar to Zanardi's, except Dana hit the engine side of Carpenters car. Carpenter will be fine.

Scary. They're being totally hush on Dana. This cannot be good.

Update II: Dolan caught something from Punchy: "He WAS a young man..." Hopefully, a slip of the tongue, but maybe not. :( Also wanted to wait to notify public until hia wife in Indy was contacted.

For those that didn't see it, Dana plowed into Carpenter head-on at basically full speed. Front of Paul's car gone. Horrific.

Words can't describe the carnage of that accident, I sure hope he is ok, but from seeing his car head down the straight afterwards it doesn't look too good. I just hope he is ok.

They just reported on ESPN2 that Dana has died. Bad way to start the season. :(
